Time Flies

It seems just like yesterday that we were unwrapping Christmas gifts and toasting in the new year. I find that it is so challenging to make changes just because it is a new year. Shouldn’t we be wanting and willing to make changes whenever they are necessary. Sometimes changes are thrust upon us. Sometimes when we least expect it like a death of a loved one, an illness, an accident.

I have heard it said that the only one who likes change is a baby.I am sure oyu can guess what kind of change they like… a diaper change. We can get into such habits with our daily lives that we are on autopilot. When we are on autopilot time flies, life goes by and we are unaware. I recently attended a women’s weekend retreat and I was not on autopilot. One of my responsibilities was to handle the sound system for the entire weekend. This was the year for change since for the previous 3 years I had been burning CD’s of music played during the retreat. I am very spontaneous when it comes to music because I allow the Holy Spirit into my heart and lead the way. Well it is difficult to be spontaneous when you do not have access to most of your music. This year I decided to investigate the possibility of connecting my laptop computer to the sound system and voila have all of my nearly 400 selections. Hooray!! I did it! I successfully made a change and I learned so much in the process.

I chalenge you to take the plunge and make a change.

Blessings to you all.
